Ciao ragazzi,
Io e la mia ragazza stiamo programmando di fare un viaggio di 25 giorni quest’estate. Molto probabilmente eviteremo l’autostrada, percorreremo piccole strade, trasportati dalla nostra buona vecchia Renault Twingo.
Abbiamo in programma di andare al Bodensee per fare una nuotata, andare sulle Alpi per fare un’escursione, poi dirigerci a nord. Monaco, Ratisbonne, poi fino a Praga. Piccola escursione al confine polacco, poi Breslavia, Poznań e Berlino.
Questo viaggio sembra un po’ troppo lungo per il tempo che abbiamo a disposizione. A dire il vero non andrei a Berlino se non avessimo già prenotato i biglietti per un festival lì 🤣
Inoltre, ci piacerebbe visitare un po’ di Polonia. Ma sicuramente sarebbe più saggio passare da Dresda per prendere la strada Praga-Berlino…
Ragazzi, vorrei chiedervi quali posti vale la pena vedere sulla via del ritorno Berlino-Lione. Probabilmente faremo tappa a Lipsia e Strasburgo… Se conoscete qualche posto in cui vale la pena fermarsi lungo il percorso, ditemelo!

Freiburg im Breisgau is really nice
I recommend stopping by in cities like Erfurt oder Marburg or even some real small towns/villages along the way to get some views of the fairytale-like timber-frame-house areas of germany.
You should head through the Black Forest if you want to drive along small roads with beautiful landscapes (and curves)
3000km isn’t too bad in that amount of time. I did a 7500km roadtrip in 21 days but that was a lot of highways so maybe not comparable.
That said, cutting through Dresden is an option especially for the national parks there.
I’ll just say don’t underestimate how cool and beautiful a free stretch of Autobahn can be. There are some lesser used sections that are really nice. Just don’t go anywhere near the A2, including the stretch between Berlin and Warsaw. If you can find a good route to avoid the Autobahn there (or drive on a Sunday or at night), you’d likely be faster and avoid at least one traffic jam.
Also, Berlin traffic is monstrous at the best of times and there are basically no free parking spots. If you plan on seeing the city, you’d do well to plan ahead, either do park & ride or aim for a paid spot in a parking garage.
You are missing the upper rhine valley with Strasbourg and Alsace, and Freiburg and the Black Forest. I suggest to go straight south from Mannheim.
Sächsische Schweiz is not far away from Dresden and it’s awesome to hike. Basteibridge is usually a must see when you are nearby.

Why go from Wrocław to Prague instead of Wrocław–Dresden–Prague?
Bamberg, a 70k city which is probably the most beautiful in Germany in it size. Its like German Comar but bigger and awesome. 50 Km north of Nuremberg.
Maybe Quedlinburg, but for sure stop at Bamberg and maybe the wine region of Unterfranken (for example Iphofen, Castell) and a visit to Rothenburg o d T while you pass through.
