    Buon fine settimana!

I don’t know but the fact that these do not have to be kept in the fridge scares me.

Lol. GERBER is a relatively well-known brand. So there are better fondue, but they’re not that bad either.

From the staple ones, ours over here is Appenzeller, solid choice.

Easiest self made ones: moitié-moitié of course, with some Kirsch and Chnofli 🙂

      As I like to say:

“La fondue Gerber est juste bonne pour faire gerber”.

    6. “Gerber” in french speaks for itself (slang for “to vomit”).

I am convinced it was a plan to poison the expats.

It’s an okay taste for an okay price for an okay ease-of-use. It’s not a stellar fondue but I tasted worse fondues in some restaurants/supermarkets.

By the way, 100% vacherin (rustique) is the way to go.

gerber is pretty ok,entry level for sure ,but i tasted cheese shop fondue that was even more waxey than gerber

It’s easy to make and tastes good. Very often when I tried more expensive fondues, either from a cheese shop or a restaurant, I’ve been disappointed. Sometimes because of the (lacking) taste of the cheese, sometimes because of the preparation. I’ve been invited to a fondue night once and the fondue ended up being more of the consistency of soup. I’d pick that fool proof Gerber fondue over that any time tbh.

This could be your negative biased opinion on a product that sell at a slight discount when compared to other fondue.

For someone who doesn’t like cheese at all, I will have to honestly admit that this Gerber fondue is quite delicious. Not the best, but pretty darn good I might say
