Qui è abbastanza comune presentare il proprio partner alla famiglia per la prima volta solo durante l’incontro formale quando state già programmando di sposarvi. Ma quando sono andato in Polonia a trovare la mia ragazza, ho mangiato con la sua famiglia quasi ogni giorno fin dal primo giorno. Ho trovato questa differenza culturale davvero affascinante.

I have lots of friends from East Asian countries and it seems like „meeting your partners family” is a pretty big deal across the board. It’s definitely a lot more „casual” thing in Polish culture.
If they were not very different, that would be mysterious.
That’s sweet that you got to spend so much time with them!
