Any more context ? Was he doing something perverted or just trying to also stay in the property but didn’t want the guests to know ?

Either way it’s very fukd up!!

      Landlord activities.

If he did this to spy on the family, he’s a creep.

If he did this because he had nowhere to stay while letting out his home, then he’s a strange man who shouldn’t be letting out his home in the first place.

    3. streetratonascooter on

He said he wouldn’t be at the property but he never said he wouldn’t be *in* the property

Pretty sure I’ve seen this horror movie before

Jeez, can’t a fella have a hobby these days without the Facebook police?

This was one of the main plot points of the movie Guest House Paradiso if I recall correctly

LOL reminds me of the story of the manager in a workplace who was getting suspicious of a lad constantly going to the toilet, so he went in there and looked under the stall to see your man down there looking back at him 🤣🤣

Genuine Dublin one bed behind that wall. DM me more pics please. Am very interested

Ugh thats terrifying. It looks like they removed part of the wall and he was behind it. How did they know he was there?

    10. DangerX2HighVoltage on

wtf. If I checked into a place and there was a hole in the wall I’d be spooked and wouldn’t stay there and that’s without discovering someone hiding in it. Stuff of nightmares. What an absolute freak. How did he not think he’d be discovered?

Everyone joking about this is odd to me. Horrifying for someone to have unsupervised access to a 5 year old while the parents sleep, regardless what his motives are.

He was prob in there fixing the wiring on all the hidden cameras..

Not as creepy as it sounds.

It’s easier to rent out a property without the owner staying there.

He’s obviously trying to save money by sleeping there.

Obviously it’s unnerving for the guests.

Bad form from Booking.com, hope they get the bad PR they deserve from the lack of care here.

    15. The name of the property has been shown in the original FB post. I can post here if that is allowed. Other pics have been posted in the comments too, showing a fenced off part of the property to the rear. It looks like it was a room that was partitioned off from the property, so he was not in the walls. Also the point about him being in the dark, it would seem he was asleep as they had returned during the night, so he was not sitting in the walls waiting . So I guess he was living in a room while renting out the rest of the house. Still though…

That’s not a crawl space, that’s a straight up serial killer den

This is incredibly on brand for Wexford. I’m married to someone who grew up in Wexford (but note, not a native) and let me tell you it is one strange place. If Deliverance was remade in Ireland it would 100% be set in Wexford. Nowhere else in Ireland comes remotely close to the weirdness of that place.

I think he made his peep hole a bit on the large side. Did he not think people would look in there? At least put a 1 way mirror over it? 😂

    19. Ehhhh kinda seems like we’re all letting Booking.com and the Guards off the hook here a bit too much.

I get that it’s easy to get locked in on the incredibly creepy landlord. Who should be seriously investigated, no doubt.

But Booking and the GS are the ones with that responsibility, and have dropped the ball. Letting another family stay there after an incident like that – with hard evidence, and apparently a confession – that’s *pretty fucked*, isn’t it? It’s like something you’d read in the Epstein files.

My expectations of companies like [Booking](https://bdsmovement.net/bookingcom-stop-profiting-war-crimes) (and the Gardai) are *really* low – and I’m still a bit shocked by this. I’m not saying we need to start a Reddit Detectives moment, or anything like that. Just like… Maybe we’re focusing on the smaller problem here. This guy was hardcore creeping on little kids – and the people responsible for any investigation or accountability whatsoever are just shrugging their shoulders?

Again – maybe shouldn’t this shouldn’t be surprising in a country where *that judge* still gets cases (everyone knows who I mean). In a country where developers get approved to build on the corpses of hundreds of discarded babies. But what exactly is it about *us*; that we’re happy to giggle and gasp about the landlord without even *talking* about their enablers?

You are lying in bed and you hear a muffled cough in the wall 😀

Reckon he was wanking or planning to kill them?

My mam’s from Wexford – when I showed this to her, her response was ‘lots of Dubliners in Riverchapel at the minute’😂

I’d live to know what happened once confronted or what way it played out
