I dont belive for a second that she “didnt understand”

If she had a serious mental health concern and was in tough life circustancez maybe, but she was studying to be a barrister, She knew better

Also no jail and bail for attempted terrorism? Ridiculous.

It baffles me how one can get bail for such a serious offence- have the reasons been made clear?

I don’t recall it being in any way usual for someone charged with terrorist offences to get bail. Very weird one.

I wonder what role radical left wing content caused in making her do this?

We hear so much about the threat of the far right, which is definitely real, but we seem to gloss over the threat from the radical left. Anne Widdecombe, Charlie Kirk, this incident here…

    5. Both are currently in custody.

      He was refused bail.

She’s back in court on Monday seeking bail. She’ll likely be refused bail.

Being a lipstick Republican is all fun and games until you get caught with a bomb in your back seat. She’ll have sung like a canary.

We should be feminist enough to consider women able of doing evil.

“She wore a pink White Fox Boutique hoodie as she listened to proceedings.”

Why is the brand getting a shout out?! 😄

Lovely to hear all the South Dublin concerns about the thugs up north. Irish redditors need to take a long, hard look in the mirror.

I keep seeing everyone saying “two years in Syria” repeatedly, but no one is actually specifying what they are trying to imply with the mention of it. Are ye suggesting she learned extremism there, she’s some kind of spy, what actually is the significance of that since everyone keeps bringing it up? She’s not Muslim and was doing this for an Irish terror group, so I’m not being a smart-ass here, I just genuinely want to understand why all the comments on this keep tacking on mentions of “her time in Syria”. Does Syria have a reputation for training bomb makers or something? Help me out here.

The man charged, Simon O’Donovan is in most of the first episode of Ireland’s Hidden Treasures in his job at the National Museum of Ireland which is still up on RTE Player albeit probably not for much longer.
