    1. I fear a lot of European countries will not participate in the next World Cup if infantino is still in charge.

Gonna cause a fair bit of chaos

    2. This is just absurd. Why would Fifa even need private investment?

It’s just so obviously corruption and greed and they act like we can’t all see it.

    3. LatelyPodes on

UEFA has a lot more power than people think. If they can get South America on board then they both can essentially make a new FIFA and a new World Cup, but build it to be less prone to corruption and whatever nonsense this is.

    4. qwerty_1965 on

FIFA is being sold to the Trump Family.

Expect a horses head moment for UEFA’s Aleksander Čeferin.

    5. Lazyscrogger on

You want UEFA secession? Because that’s how you get UEFA secession.

    6. Old_Roof on

      Infantino is a disgrace.

There will become a point where UEFA has to make some kind of a stand

    7. fsharpaugmented on

Ahhh the bloke who people thought was cleaner than Sepp Blatter. Sells his soul to Donny Don for a golden chocolate medal.
Just wonder who’s financing the bungs

    8. Convair101 on

Blatant corruption, but let’s not pretend that the response will be anything other than polite gesturing from most football associations. I guess today, as always, he feels corrupt?

    9. Luke_4686 on

UEFA are by far the biggest coefficient in the world, if they want to they could force some real change by threatening to boycott the next World Cup. But with the money involved I doubt anyone will ever take it that far

    10. Unusual-Coat383 on

How is this not bribery and potential match fixing?

I think a 2030 UEFA boycott will difficult because of where the World Cup is being hosted but I wouldn’t be against a boycott of one of the 2034 and 2038 competitions (2038 is most likely another US World Cup).

    11. CuriousGeorgeToday on

European fans need to boycott this like the super league. Or failing that, sell it to the US, and then setup a breakaway body even just with European countries would be enough to make FIFA worthless.

    12. Feeling_Zucchini_886 on

Europe lets just leave . Don’t particularly like playing the South Americans anyway….

    13. LocoRocoo on

“The story was first reported in the Financial Times and the Times, with the latter claiming the plans could potentially earn Fifa president Gianni Infantino tens of millions of pounds.”

      Today I feel corrupt.

    14. FerretsQuest on

The Euros is way more exciting anyways… UEFA just need develop a rival competition and make FIFA irrelevant 🙌

The only stakes we should be selling are the ones that go through the hearts of these ghouls

“Fifa say that once approval has been granted, Thrive Eternal is expected to lead the proposed investor group for FFE.

Thrive is an American venture capital firm founded by Joshua Kushner, the brother of US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared.”

      They are laughing at us.

Unbelievable levels of corruption and obviously it’s not even the most disgraceful thing the Trump/Kushners have their mitts all over.

UEFA and the FA need to step up now, supported by the players, managers and us as fans. If that means a boycott, bring it on. Non-violent direct action? Sign me up. These gangsters have been allowed to ruin our game for too long.

    17. Optimal-Room-8586 on

Yeah, would be delighted for UEFA to just pull out of FIFA and start a breakaway organisation.

    18. Exact-Potential1673 on

I think there needs to be a split from fifa at this point . UEFA kind of just do the euros and invite any other non European nation that doesn’t want to be with fifa is welcome to join too . I don’t think it’s a case you just invite the South American teams . I imagine the likes of Australia , Japan , Canada etc might be receptive to joining as well

If Europe and some others united over this , fifa would shit itself

    19. CompetitiveAsk3131 on

Thrive is an American venture capital firm founded by Joshua Kushner, the brother of US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared.”

      This is particularly corrupt sounding.

    20. People here: UEFA is strong, they have Europe and just need south america.
Who tf do u think FIFA got then? They jst need 3/4 decision makers on their side (not even a whole country) and they can make whatever they desire happen.

    21. SuggestionNo5511 on

All should boycott FIFA especially anyone under UEFA
As soon as European countries stand united against FIFA, it falls apart. Apart from Jonny leaving and new FIFA leadership. Not sure what the solution is but at a minimum they should show FIFA who has the real power

    22. TooNGooN89 on

Time for UEFA to ditch this shit. I think a lot of us were convinced trump and the US with that bald twat in charge of fifa would attempt to kill off football, looks like they’re almost there. I’d be happy never watching another fifa World Cup again. This latest one was full of cheats, grime, corruption and bad sportsmanship. Game needs to move or die.

    23. Sleep-Agitated on

So the overturned red card appeal from Trump was definitely a I scratch your back you scratch mine.

      The corruption stinks.

    24. What would this do. Certain countries not allowed to participate if they not USA Israel allies? More inflationary ticket pricing?

    25. wedontneednoeduc on

To give FIFA credit, pub chat only a weeks ago was about how they couldn’t get any more corrupt. yet they managed it.

The notion of selling a stake when you have vast cash revenues is insane.

    26. Astriania on

Is UEFA’s “fury” going to extend to anything beyond a stiffly worded letter? Because if not, it’s pointless.
