Of course not. This entire discourse of Russian escalation over support to Ukraine is Russian gaslighting, and it has been remarkably effective.
Even after more than two years of empty escalation threats, Western leaders are still justifying support in submissive language hoping to not provoke even more empty threats.
This is the real power of nuclear weapons.
