This volunteer soldier had a burger restaurant in the United Kingdom (as an American, burgers made outside the US are sus but I digress).  When the full-scale invasion started, he sold his business to come fight for Ukraine. He’s spent thousands of his own money over the past two years equipping himself and his Jedi teammates and sometimes covering living expenses. This shows the commitment and sacrifice foreign volunteers make to serve in Ukraine, and why Protect A Volunteer tries to ease the financial burden.

You can help volunteers like this by signing up to be a sponsor with Protect A Volunteer. We match you directly with a volunteer and several other donors in a Signal chat group, so one volunteer has several donors to help them out! This has led to some great friendships and support networks! 

You can sign up to offer one-time or periodic donations of $100 or more or a monthly donation.  You will send your donations directly to your volunteer so you know exactly who you are helping.

 We have multiple volunteers needing support including both foreign volunteers and Ukrainian soldiers. Some are saving for very expensive items like night vision or drones, some need protective equipment, some need vehicle supplies and maintenance.
