      in Belgium it’s not allowed, but in the Netherlands you’re allowed to park like that.
      You can only park in Belgium like that in a one-way street.

      The general rule is that you have to park in the driving direction, so on the right side on a road with two way traffic.

      On one way streets, you can park on both sides of the road ( unless signs indicate otherwise off course).

      yes, and I have been fined for it, for a much less sketchy scenario in an empty dead end back alley in Gent

      Yes effectively the guy crossed the solid white line (174 euro) and drives on the wrong side of the road (473 euro I think?), so staying parked like that implies at least two infractions.

    5. In Belgium this is not allowed. In the Netherlands it is. Since this is a Dutch driver he is in for a surprise if he gets a fine.
