Ruben Vardanyan is a very wealthy and well-connected man.

But he- a literal oligarch in charge of Russia’s industries- was traded by Putin for a couple bottles of Azeri brandy for his fair-weather soldiers. I hope those poor fcks enjoyed that spirit as they were shipped from NK to the Ukraine front.

I don’t understand the Russian state. I really don’t. I’d understand giving gov officials like David Babayan. Grand scheme of things they’re goddamn nobodies to stoke Ilham’s ego. But giving Vardanyan to Aliyev is absolute strategic nonsense. And his businesses, fcking Russian tax paying businesses, have suffered as a result of his absence.

This is exactly why I don’t understand the protesters/opposition. Ruben was adamant about following Russia’s orders and turning both Armenia and Artsakh into Tatarstan where he would serve as governor general. And he got royally fcked by his boss while implemented this. Like, don’t you opposition idiots see something wrong with this?
