

Quindi oggi stavo bevendo un sidro durante la cena della domenica e leggendo il retro della bottiglia ho notato che le lingue alternative erano il finlandese e lo svedese anziché i soliti francese, spagnolo e tedesco. Questo particolare sidro è popolare in Finlandia? (È piuttosto gradevole, molto fruttato, si abbina bene con il manzo!)

Yes, Westons is one of the most popular proper (sorry, I mean English) cider brands we get here. Thatchers is available too but at least by my own guesstimate you tend to see Westons more in pubs and Alkos. However most cider Finns drink is very very sweet and kinda artificial flavour, like Happy Joe, FIZZ or Somersby. How I miss Aspall!

Cider is surprisingly popular here compared to most of Europe. I remember the first time I visited Helsinki finding cans of a cider local to me in UK, you can’t buy it in 95% of the UK but there it was in a kmarket 🤣
