Mi sono trasferito in una vecchia casa tedesca, ho trovato questo nel seminterrato, si solleva e si muove ma non l’ho tirato troppo forte, è uscito un po’ di liquido (lavarsi accuratamente le mani)

It‘s an opening to clean out the soot from the chimney.
Access “hatch” for your chimney, in case someone needs to clean it or otherwise be able to take a look into the shaft.
If you remove the stone you can access the bottom of your chimney to remove ash.
That water is rainwater mixed with ash.
