    1. Translation:

One of the most tragic episodes of the disastrous 44-day war of 2020 was not only the fall of Shushi, but the failed attempt of the Armenian side to liberate it after losing actual control over the city, which ended with the death and maiming of dozens of people.

The Armenian side partially lost control over Shushi between November 5 and 6. Since there were several “important people” left in the city, in a virtual siege, whom Baku would like to capture alive and make a big show, the task was to free them at all costs.

The mission was accomplished, “important people” were taken out, but the price was new victims and wounded.

By November 7, Shushi was already completely under the control of the Azerbaijani army, although fighting was going on in the nearby parts of the fortress city, during which the Armenian side suffered hundreds of casualties, the second largest losses during the 44-day war. The first was the failure of the Armenian counter-offensive on October 5-6 in the direction of Fizuli-Jebrayil, for which no one wanted to voluntarily take responsibility.

We must have a complete picture of all the episodes of the disastrous 44-day war and our terrible defeat, however painful they may be, to minimize future distortions and manipulations.

Today is not the time to write the names of “important people” unless you can prove the brutal reality officially and/or with additional material. Every war has episodes about which the full truth becomes available years and decades later.
