      I have only ever seen this in student and soldier rooms, never in an actual kitchen

      Literally never seen anyone use a sandwich press to make breakfast in Germany.

      Any other. Literally just any other. I’ve never even seen someone eating this for breakfast. But you wanted to name something more iconic. What about
      – Weißwurst and Brezeln
      – Bacon and eggs
      – or simply Toast with butter and honey?

      As a dutchy in Germany i had to do a double take to see of this was not the dutch reddit, as a tosti is basic student breakfast. But i had no clue germans also did this

      I absolutely despise toast. I don’t like warm bread because butter melts on it and that’s disgusting. I might have a trauma from too many Sundays with only toast for breakfast.

      when im using this, its for a small snack, mostly evening because im not that hungry

      Milk and Cornflakes, Toast and Nutalla, Eggs and Bacon

      everything is more iconic than this for breakfast, because nobody eats this for breakfast

      And nobody ats this with mortadella EVER

      Years living in Germany and I’m still not used to eating dry ass cold bread for breakfast & dinner and probably never will in the future. I’d rather commit seppuku.
