The speed benefit is more than outweighed by the vulnerability factor. As some Russian troops themselves have variously admitted, Ukrainian drones own the skies over battlefronts. The motorcycles/ATV’s may be a bit harder to spot than armored vehicles, but they can be spotted and when they are they are sitting ducks for drones, and Ukrainian ground troops can deal with the ones the drones don’t get to.

They are already acting like it’s a post nuclear world. A bit early.

Vlad: We have this armoured vehicle cemetery. We added extra armour to the vehicles, but direct hits and shrapnell still get to them. What to do?

Helpul underling: Why don’t we send a surprise, light cavalry, dispersed, agile and speedy and quickly dropping off men?.

Vlad: We added them to the column and they are even more vulnerable to shrapnell then our heavily armoured vehicles.

      Underling: [facepalm]

The lone positive is that motorcycles might not trigger AT mines. Still fuckin wild that front has largely unchanged after nearly 18 months.

Moscovite’s love for revising history is well known – and this time it’s light cavalry that’s on the chopping block.

Why aren’t they doing the caracole? Are they stupid?
