Russian language classes are pathetic in public schools though.

Yeah, I am pretty sure those 800.000 students really care about that language.
Also, off-topic, but am I the only one who finds that language unpleasant? It doesn’t sound pretty to my ears, and I don’t think I want to learn it anytime in the future. I’d rather learn to speak French, Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, or Portuguese as a fourth language.
