It’s gotta be well over a billion. I believe a single Patriot battery is already over a billion and that’s already been pledged.
Pretty sad it only took a children’s hospital being bombed for us to swiftly pledge a half dozen AA systems. 😥
Nah, these packages aren’t simply slapped together overnight, to think otherwise is naïve. The additional Patriot batteries and other air defense systems have been in the making for some time now and they aren’t just hardware, likely include training of additional crews including maintenance crews and other support so it’s a huge effort, not to mention sourcing (these systems don’t just magically come into being) involves lots of behind the scenes discussions and likely negotiations/horse trading.
Shield is cool, but what about the sword to prevent the attack in the first place?
So, not allowing to target the root cause, but only to be better at defending against it?
how about we add another billion for offensive weapons and let Ukraine use it how they see fit 👍🏼
