Would the Iron Dome not work?
No air defense system in existence can solve Kharkiv’s problem. The only solution is the destruction of air bases in Russia. This is exactly what the US and Israel would do if faced with this situation. But Ukraine has to suffer because “escalation”…
But Patriot IS the most modern air defense
TL;DR His point seems to be that you can’t really shoot down glide bombs. For that you need offense.
Pretty hard to protect a city a few miles from the enemy border. Especially when you are unable to destroy the launching aircraft either in the air, or on the ground. A ridiculous situation for Ukraine. I am ashamed that we do not either intervene, or at least give them what they need to smash the russian air force.
Ukraine needs to be able to strike all Russian airbases. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
