These are two paramedics from a stabilisation centre in the Kharkiv region. They are real heroes for me. Artem comes from a neighbouring village (Avdiicka). He went to war when he was 19 years old and went through the hottest spots on the front line. At first he was an infantryman, and then about a year ago he was transferred to a stabilisation point and is now involved in evacuating the wounded. At this point, he met a nurse, Kate, who is from Kryvyi Rih, and, as you can see, they started a relationship (I didn’t know this until the two of them came to visit Artem’s grandmother). So you can also find your soul mate at war :). Kate has been working as a military nurse for two years now (before that she worked in a regular hospital).
So they came on a short holiday. After our meeting, I walked around the whole evening with a smile on my face, because they are extremely nice people.
As for the purchase of a car, they were hesitant to ask for it because, as they said, they had already received a lot of support from us. They came with their own car, hoping to have it repaired, but even after the repair, it doesn’t drive very well. In war, transport is needed all the time, so we decided to help and buy them an inexpensive car. This car will not be used to evacuate the seriously wounded, it will be used as an auxiliary vehicle for transporting some things or household needs. We would like to buy a car worth about $3000.
