Quando chiami il servizio Telenet e dopo aver aspettato 43 minuti finalmente ti risponde qualcuno che ti chiede se hai diritto anche tu agli sconti mensili.

I once put on my naughty shoes and asked them this.

Could I get a discount or a deal like new customers?

They simply said “no?? that’s only for new customers.”

Told them I wanna quit and they were like, if you leave we’ll have to bill you for another couple of months etc. Gave me the option to stay at same or higher, non discounted price, or pay up for terminating the contract before the end of the notice period.

So I said, “aight, imma call testaankoop.”

And wouldn’t you know it, Immediate cancelation was suddenly an option!

All service companies are doing that (telco, insurance, mutualité…). Everything is good to grab new customers but don’t treat your actual ones good because they will never leave or so 🙄
