Sounds like the system can use IRIS-T SLX missiles which are cheaper than the SLM. But still an expensive missile to use on a drone although makes sense for a cruise missile. Same is true of the AIM 9x – it is several hundred thousand per missile.
The US supplied Vampire systems make much more sense for drones. And are proven effective in Ukraine.
