Tax is not the same as customs and processing fees.
Never experienced that with similar items sent to Switzerland before or after Brexit.
I think you’ve been a bit unlucky this has been singled out.
I’ve had this before & everyone told me it was because I had the package delivered to office (commercial address) rather than my residence. So customs disagreed that the package was a gift & wrongly concluded that a foreign seller was lying about the gift declaration & thus tax was chargeable. Didn’t matter that it was a gift from my mum, customs decided that we were lying & thus had to pay the taxes.
It’s for Zoll. My Christmas Terry‘s chocolate oranges from my aunt cost me far more than they’re worth!
This seems an error, since it lies under the 45 Eur limit for both EUSt and Zoll. But check closely all the conditions particularly for the second link

Possibly the description of the item was too general so customs charges plus handling fees were applied. I tell my family in the UK not to send anything in the post because it can be a bit random when these charges end up being applied.

I wanted to buy something from UK… 170€… fine…
Postage and packing:
Before brexit: 8€
after Brexit: 78€
I paid €94 zoll for a ring worth €500 that was sent from Switzerland.
