      The apparent absence of any significant Russian Air Force action against the incursion is baffling. I would have expected maximum effort air support to halt the Ukrainian advance. It would certainly be nice if the Russians are struggling to mount a response.

      I don’t think they are targeting the planes. They are going after the bombs which have been causing the casualties in the Ukrainian forces. These gliding bombs have been causing a lot of damage and go up to 3000 kg, which are huge. These bombs are stacked in the open air in areas at the side of the runways. Look at the photos and you don’t see any sign of planes.
