I really hate major media, they won’t report it when Ukraine is struggle to fight Russia. Instead they report the situation when Ukraine is pushing back

Russia can just give up.
Enough bloodshed. Enough sending people to the meatgrinder.

For those that did not notice, there is a permanent draft and RU is already putting together the maximum forces available, approximatively 30000 every month.

A draft that affects the more wealthy areas of the RF is something that they are avoiding like the plague no? Looks like they’d rather divest existing troops instead, hopefully reducing strain somewhere else in ukraine territory.
I do hope they take the “easy” way of massing resources on road range of himars or atacms who can resist that?…

The biggest 4D chess move would be to try to actually force Russia to do a mass mobilization so there is finally big protests.

Drafting people to fight inside Russia means arming people inside Russia’s borders. Potential for an armed overthrow of Putin would be a bigger risk compared to sending them into Ukraine like before.
Interesting dilemma the Kremlin has to deal with now.

What’s funny is propaganda and censorship only goes so far. Once these disgruntled draftees sees their allies surrendering and siding with the Ukrainians in droves they’ll be doing the same.

Now wait for their tank shortage to be exposed… And soon, their APV shortage. Then their artillery shortage – they are sending D20s to Kursk on mismatched tires.

More draft = less economy = less funds to pay for weapons = cratering Russia. Putin regime is done. Can’t draft his way out of this box.

Body language on the field shows Ukrainians keen to kill and Russians trying to survive

Maybe Ukraine should just annex entire Russia

If they could do that they would have done it a year ago.
The political cost is vastly too high. Beyond that the economic cost is vast. Getting hundreds of thousands of young men from the wealthy parts of the country isn’t viable.

Draft them and send them into the meat grinder. No one fights like unwilling and unenthusiastic. Not to mention undertrained and poorly equipped.
