Well, that explains why there was [an Indian C-17](https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=800795) in Rzeszow earlier today. Probably bringing personnel and equipment to Poland for the visit.

Chances are he’ll just ask Ukraine to stop its Kursk invasion and start the peace talks instead.
India has nothing to gain from helping Ukraine.

Perhaps someone can ask him why he was hugging Putin while children in Kyiv with cancer had to endure russian missiles being fired at them?

I wonder if the Zelenskyy administration actually thinks they can change Modi’s mind about flouting the sanctions regime and welcoming massive amounts of Russian imports. If not, then I wonder what the purpose of this visit is. Nevertheless, I’m cautiously glad to see it, because before this, I would have assumed *both* that (a) Modi had zero interest in visiting Ukraine, and (b) Ukraine had zero interest in hosting him.
At the very least, during the time when Modi is in Kyiv, I predict zero Russian drone and missile bombardment of the city for that brief span of time.

Hey Modi, you could be a powerful ally for the side of good if you stop buying oil from Russia. Or will you choose evil as usual?

10 bucks says Putin asked him to go “help” with the peace process and when he gets home he will give an interview to the Times of India that says both sides need to put down their weapons and come to the negotiating table.

No, this is good. Its very good that the prime minister of India, especially Modi, is actually coming to Ukraine – on a friendly visit. This is what clarifies that he and India are not outright for Putin.
Its especially useful after that visit to Russia. This visit is his chance to show his and India more “neutral” stance. He can even play that hug as a simple human gesture that he made instinctively, in the moment, not really anything serious.
This is also a great chance for Ukraine to make sure India finds out, comes to know better, some of its needs can be also filled by Ukraine. Not just Russia. Establish a better trade and cooperation. In doing so bring Ukraine a bit closer to Indias people too, so they dont just think about Russia and count on Russia for … stuff. Lots of opportunities to bring these two countries closer together.
That is a much, much better option then having India outright cooperating and aligning with Russia.

Modi has the same spirit as Putin. He seeds hatred and doesn’t care if those he targets as his enemies, get killed – all to achieve his nationalist agenda.
