Because of the ITAR regulation, they can veto any decisions about equipment than contains at least one US component. Including british storm shadow, and french scalp missiles.

I do not agree with giving weapons to a country then tell them how to use them in war, that is BS. As an American veteran, I want Ukraine to do whatever they feel like they need to do to get the fascists out of their country. I do not respect or even acknowledge the sovereignty of Russia at this point. A state can’t engage in this much belligerence and bloodshed and still expect to be treated like a good faith actor.
Give ‘em hell. As far as I can tell, Ukraine is improving the quality of life for the Russians living in the territory they’re occupying which is much more than anyone could ever say about Russia and their unprovoked invasion.

I just wanna say, I have zero sympathy for orcs high up on the chain who keep pushing the war. I wish Ukraine would be allowed to hit strategic targets with those HIMARS and other stuff coming in.
But have any of ya’ll watched those videos on modern nuke capability? Hiroshima and Nagasaki, up to 300,000 people in an instant. Today’s nukes, the ones that Russia has (even if they aren’t fully functional): 1 **million** in an instant. Russia has lost 600,000 over three *years*. That’s fucking scary. Life as we know it ceases to exist after the first nuke is launched. The ash and dust that’s throw into the air from one nuke will linger in the sky and block out the sun for years. If you don’t die from the first blast, you’ll either die of radioactive fallout, or hunger.
As a *sane* person, I would not want to be the one that made the call to allow deep strikes, provoking an already crazed lunatic into firing the first nuke.
Y’all, there are many, many reasons to not escalate. Government moves slowly on purpose. If Russia fires a nuke, the allies will be drawn into war. Sure, Russia will likely be crushed but at what cost? Stock markets tanking, innumerable lives lost, worldwide fear and uncertainty, bad actors moving forward while the allies are distracted, etc, etc.
It’s not as simple as handing over highly classified weapons = winning.
Would love to disrupt Russia railroads feeding the frontlines though…
