Really good article!! TIL a lot of things!! These soviets was really crazy and effective in their mass control…:(
When the USSR collapsed the KGB and the GRU old guard survived and passed the torch as the Russian Orthodox Church and by becoming “oligarchs” and Mafia.
Having spent time in Russia right after the collapse I am convinced that they let it all happen because the economy was in such a state an every corrupt scheme already played out that they needed free and open access to the rest of the world.
The “leaders” of the West got played. It’s good to see Ukraine finally send them back to the swamp.
Fuck Stalin.
