I don’t know if “working class” is an accurate translation for “Arbeiter”. Angestellte and Selbstständige are also mostly working-class.
I would translate “Arbeiter/in” as wage-based or blue-collar workers, “Angestellte” as salaried/white-collar, and “Selbständige” as self-employed. But “Arbeiter” in this context is not the entirety of the working class.

I am going fking insane the working class along with the upper class is voting for far-right, while it’s the middle class voting for left! Does anybody even have class consciousness anymore!?
Sociology class didn’t prepare me for this. Almost 2 centuries of sociology wasted!

Is there a possibility for AfD to win the next German elections and take control of the country ?

The working class of Thüringen is not even 1% of Germany’s population.

Why would working class vote for big city elites parties like SPD and Grune?
Depressing when you read the AfD program and realize they vote against their own interest. No minimum wage, weakening workers rights, reduce welfare payments which many in that category get in different areas, increase the retirement age for those workers and so on, while reducing taxes on the rich. Sad the working class falls for it over and over again.

Is ‘white working class’ a distinct category in Germany like it is in the UK and US?

People tired of immigrants vote for a party that promise to fix it. I know it’s shocking. But sadly they won’t do shit about because it’s good for the economy and the elite wont let them throw the immigrants out

Hey Germany: stop voting for Nazis. It didn’t end up well the last time you did it.

This is from yesterday. AFD doesn`t have 49 %, but 34,3 %. Still bad enough though.
This link will show you the official numbers for Thüringen.
