Fits to one particular decease in russia and east asia which is Koro Syndrome. Despite there are illnesses that do in fact harm gentials in Koro Syndrome the patient beliefs their genitals shrink and might disappear inside the body. No Joke, it is a pathologic condition of malicious self perception.
You can speculate where this comes from and why the condition can be prevalent in persons in this region and almost nowhere else.. seems to be cultural and social intertwined – but who knows, for sure not healthy.
