>The average monthly salary in Armenia as of June 2024 was 275,654 drams, marking a 3% increase compared to the same period last year, the country’s Economy Ministry reported on Friday.
>The report revealed that the average salary in the public sector was 215,521 drams (+5.7%), while in the private sector it was 299,395 drams (+2.1%).
>The top three highest-paid sectors were:
>1. Information and Communication, with an average salary of 824,100 drams.
>2. Mining and Quarrying, with an average salary of 799,925 drams.
> 3. Financial and Insurance Activities, with an average salary of 683,061 drams.
>The report also noted a general increase in average salaries across all employment sectors compared to June 2023, with the exception of mining, public administration, and defense.”
>The sectors with the highest growth in average salaries were:
> 1. Agriculture, forestry, and fishing, with a 15.3% increase.
> 2. Financial and insurance activities, with a 12.8% increase.
> 3. Electricity, gas, and steam supply, with a 10.7% increase.
