Sto realizzando un video sui miei antenati Dierstein/Thierstein dell’Emmental. Uno di loro viveva nei pressi di Signau. Per un periodo di tempo possedeva una locanda che nel 1610 veniva chiamata “zum Crütz”. Nel 1615 vendette la locanda al Landvogt Frantz Küpffer e a quel tempo si chiamava “zum wÿssen Crütz”. La locanda doveva trovarsi a Signau.
Oggi, c’è un ristorante a un chilometro da Signau, il Restaurant Kreuz Schüpbach. Mi chiedo se ci sia un modo per sapere se questo potrebbe essere lo stesso posto. A margine, nel 1621 era chiamato “Weybel zu Signau”. Sono curioso di sapere di cosa sarebbe stato responsabile un Weybel o un Weibel. Grazie per qualsiasi aiuto tu possa fornire!

Heya! For me: Looks 100% like the “Kreuz” in Schüpbach (source: I go there a couple of times a year. Also: https://maps.app.goo.gl/1t2gNCiVJGLr43cn7?g_st=ic – Looks very similar). So you’re on the right track.
Do you live nearby to go ther or not (I guess not)?
