Drones (and missiles) tend to fly in a straight line for a long time. I’m curious about the reasoning to make the drones “follow” targets rather than launching them ahead of the targets and flying in the same direction, slower, and blocking the flight path.

This has got to be the way to go with taking out these slower types of drones. An army of quad drones just waiting for a radar ping, launch and fly directly into the path of the drone.
