Lake Ohrid is beautiful and Macedonia is an underrated country to visit. Super friendly people and I was pleasantly surprised by the English level.

I gained a huge amount of respect for North Macedonia after prespa. It’s very rare, particularly for a balkans nation, to go against nationalist pride as the Greeks fought relentlessly for something that seems trivial, especially in the modern day. Even if the country was still called Macedonia, none of the history books or encyclopedias are changing that Alexander and the Macedonian Kingdom was Greek, so shouldn’t it be a compliment that when slavs came and eventually nationalist movements began, they chose to identify with Macedon rather then Bulgaria. And clearly slavs mixed with the local population, so it’s not a stretch to say some or many North Macedonians have actual Greek Macedonian ancestors, not that it really matters. Happy day North Macedonia!
