He is tired of pretending to support Ukraine (him personally not the German nation) and would love to go back to business with Putin. Putin clearly stated he will only negotiate if he can keep the four territories, which equates Ukraine defeat. To push for peace in these conditions is tantamount to being a bald headed wanker like Scholz.

Problem: the German economy has come to a complete standstill since 2022 because of underinvestment, lack of innovation and the political decision to create a way too big dependency on Russian gas.
