They’re basically suped up Huey’s – an extremely common helicopter in Europe – so there is a ton of spare parts and, very likely, Ukrainian mechanics that can already work on them.
I’ve been beating this drum for years now. They could operate the same way as the Russians use their Ka-52’s. Hang back and lob Hellfire missiles from miles behind the line. And there are literally *hundreds of thousands* of Hellfire missiles and they can produce thousands of them a year. Including in Europe, so completely independent of US aid once the choppers are sent.

I cannot understand why US Analysts feel competent second guessing the people in the fight..if the warfighter says that I need vipers, the reply should be “How many” , ”when”, and “where”
