      Pt. 2 in photos of Armenian regional groups

      Explanation: Sasuntsis were very warlike and vengeful people, as such they always had a weapon with them. Picture one shows the more lightly armed battle attire with a newer gun, this is how they would have looked going into battle after 1900. Picture 2 shows their full traditional arsenal, how they would have looked in the 1893-1894 period of unrest. Picture 3 is the everyday/”civilian” outfit, which still includes a dagger (by rule, always worn from the right side of the belt) and often a big թզբեխ hung from the hilt.

      The first 6 pictures showcase the outfit of a regular man, while the last 2 show the so-called “princely” outfit of Sasun, which was worn by the ruling important men of the village and the village prince/headmen (Res).
