Those pictures suggest refined petroleum products. With some luck, aviation fuels.
Would be nice if the bogies got too hot from the fire.
So from bearings having puked out all grease to warped frame makes
moving them away much harder.
It is a single-track line. Also nice.
From the article:

This was probably intended to protect the train from railroad mines,

Heard about this earlier.
Also for protecting the train driver.
When word gets around that you can get killed in a locomotive …
In this case it was a UAV.
But also mines …
AFAIK the Russians have only diesel-electric mainline locomotives.
And the axle-hung traction motors should have a gigantic stray magnetic field.
So this could be used to trigger a mine instead of weight or metal.
This is the way! I was talking about this a few weeks ago. Seems like a great way to delay Russian logistics.
