Joe Biden dismissed sabre-rattling threats made by [Vladimir Putin](https://www.theguardian.com/world/vladimir-putin) as the US president met with the UK prime minister, Keir Starmer, at the White House on Friday.

Biden said he did not accept that [Ukraine](https://www.theguardian.com/world/ukraine) using western-made Storm Shadow missiles to bomb targets in Russia would amount to Nato going to war with Moscow.

At a foreign policy summit on Friday afternoon, Biden said: “I do not think much about Vladimir Putin.”

      Biden: “Putin’s threats mean nothing.”

“Why don’t you allow Ukraine to strike Russia?”

Biden: “Because of Putin’s threats, of course!”

    3. Dismisses threats but does not give a green light for long range strikes. We live in a bizarre world when one can say they hate ice cream while eating it.

Dismisses threats but unable to green light use of our weapons in Russia?

      What are they playing at?

This makes sense to me. It’s unfortunate that sense comes at the cost of Ukrainian lives but the alternative is possibly even more Ukrainian lives & possibly even Ukrainian capitulation forced upon them by Trump withholding everything not just long range capability.

USA is scared of Putin, official. Ганба!
No one would have believed this 20 years ago. Let Ukraine strike inside Russia!

It’s not that I don’t think about putin, it’s that I don’t respect him. He’s small prick, but sometimes those small pricks are the most annoying of all…
