Are there any trolleybuses left in the EU?

Edit: well, I am happy to see they are still surviving. I thought most of them were replaced by trams or busses meanwhile.

Do I understand correctly 40.4 % of all journeys in Croatia were done by airplanes? Seems weird, it’s too much.

    5. Germany doesn’t move, poke it with a stick, perhaps it’s dead

    6. kind of surprised italy and/or germany arent leading the line when it comes to traveling by train considering their infrastructure. Also the the huge gap between croatia and the the rest regarding traveling by plane is also quite surprising.

Transportation on our rivers is extremely underutilized in Europe, both as public transport and both as cargo shipping.

Don’t know much about why for Cyprus and Croatia, but for Bulgaria the answer is very simple: very low prices for the Bulgarians abroad.

If you live in western europe, an airplan ticket for bulgaria costs less then a train ticket for the neighbouring region or any other airplan ticket at all.

In Croatia, highway fees are so expensive, it’s cheaper to go to work with airplanes. Also, Rimac is creating the first flying robo-taxi route in Zagreb, 1/1/2025.

By sea vessel; people think it is finnish people working or doing vacation trips, but the truth is something else…

Put the bike there too. My bet would be on netherlanda, france and slovenia 🤣

    12. Something is wrong here.. comparing international and local transport. If you do that you should normalise to the ‘local’ part. No way people are flying this much within Croatia.

That Finland-Estonia sea vessel brotherhood. Estonians get work from Finland and Finns get alcohol in return. Win-win!

    14. So you are saying roughly 10% of the Dutchies are using bike? I highly doubt that 🙂

    15. Swedens trains are a mess and the current government is trying to promote cars over trains at every turn but we are still top3? That is really surprising to me.

I think it just shows which infrastructure is the most advanced and evolved, which makes it the most comfortable.

Train is probably the 1million in Stockholm taking the tube or tram
