Genuinely curious how many more times Drew “99% vote of no confidence” Harris can fall upwards. Has any other Garda Commissioner in living memory been in charge for so many riots on the level of the O’Connell St one last year and Coolock?
At the end of the doc, there was a blurb from AGS along the lines of …” we adopted a graduated response… based on the principle of consent…” Pure management speak for, we did FA because we can’t organise ourselves properly and are really only motivated to do anything but the bare minimum.
The previous Garda commissioner got sacked for less tbh.
It is clear now that the hands off policing was completely orchestrated.
