Ursula vDL being “reelected,” chat control, upload filters, a resolution to basically become an active party in the ongoing Ukraine war. Is resilient a synonym for suicidal?

Good, we need to stand on our own feet when it comes to defense. The politcal situation in the US shows us we have to be prepared to defend Europe by ourself.

In what universe? It has a huge problem with the rule of law in Hungary to the point of being parilised in some decisions, is at a serious risk of a recession, and losing the pace to China and America industrially. On the defence side, not much has happened and is still relying heavily in NATO, etc. Etc.

I assume the Qatari corruption scandal was all sorted out then and the EU is now impervious to such manipulations going forward due to all the strengthening of rules and regulations designed to protect its integrity? Perish the thought they just swept everything under the rug and carried on regardless.

Using the UK electing a centrist government as an example of how *The EU* is becoming more resilient against populism is certainly an interesting take…
