Good to see a custodial sentence for this type of thing. No mental health excuses or tough background wipes the slate clean on this one. The poor man involved. God.

Good. More of these need to see jail sentences.

It’s paywalled, how did they find out she was lying?

Should be made an example of. False rape accusations ruin lives and they happen more often than most people think. Fucking cunt shouldn’t ever see the light of day again

3 months really. She ruined a person’s life if anything she should have gotten the same sentence that a person would have gotten had they raped somebody.

From the shoulders up she looks like she’d enjoy being an abusive nun.

People like her make it even harder for real victims to be believed.
She should serve as long as sentence as he would have if he had actually raped her.

False rape accusation hurts not only the accused but other women who have been assaulted.

Too light a sentence if you ask me.

Good to see her get a custodial sentence, but for 3 months?? Should have been 3 years!

I’ll have to reply to too many comments if I keep on going.

No, perjury should not carry the same sentence as rape.

As a woman who has been assaulted this disgusts me. This is one of the reasons we aren’t believed if we do tell people or go to the cops. That poor guy.

Do absolutely judge the book by it’s cover in this case

You’d wonder why the DPP went ahead with this case. So many women told not enough evidence to pursue actual rape or assault cases. All this does is give misogynists fuel to further discredit women who speak out and seek justice for violent men.

Fucker all the other people who’ve been ignored or dismissed is on likes of her

This is a disgusting allegation. It’s a slap in the face for every woman who has been sexually assaulted and potentially ruining an innocent man’s life. Thankfully the percentage of false allegations is something like below 1% for sexual assault but women like these need to be taught a lesson.

You’d want to do something about that Ronnie you’re cultivating.

The #believeallwomen mantra is a dangerous and idiotic idiom.

‘Listen to all women and investigate accordingly’ doesn’t have the same social media ring unfortunately.

    17. Minimum sentence for false accusations should be the same as minimum sentence for the accused crime.

    18. THREE MONTHS?! The man has had his reputation absolutely destroyed and she’ll be able to walk away “cleanly” in that time while he’ll continue to suffer from that respective. This country is a complete joke.
