Well done Senator. Gambling is a scourge. If a sport depends on gambling to survive it’s not a sport. A number of years ago I went to a bookies to collect winnings. There were no windows, there were virtual horse races on one of the tvs, and greyhound racing from some obscure town in England on another tv. Before collecting my winnings they insisted on taking a photocopy of my id as if I was some sort of criminal for winning money off them. Funny, I never had to give them my id when I lost money. I haven’t gambled since. We need to introduce monthly limits on gambling. And if bookies can track winners like me they can be made to track losers to ensure losing is capped at a maximum per month/annum.
