Sold like it’s a positive. This was initially planned for roll out in January 2024, then January 2025 now pushed out another 9 months as a sop to whingeing businesses (in large part probably the same ones crying for another VAT reduction).
My money is on it getting kicked out again / not happening at all.

It’s in addition to the state pension, which is payed for through PRSI. But also mandated by the state.
Why not increase PRSI on a scale for workers, and have that reflected in their state pension?

how does this compare to a new entrants public service pension? Any one done the maths?
Remember during the crash the government raided the pension to bail out the banks, the likes of Anglo? Who is they say the wouldn’t do it again?
