Irish Times reporting the investigation found a preliminary conclusion of gross misconduct against Brian Stanley before he resigned from the party on Saturday night.
The process was then put on hold and referred to the Guards on Sunday.
He is being removed because the position is a SF position.
Nothing to do with any investigation.
