Ciao! Dato che questo subreddit è stato una risorsa molto utile (grazie mille a tutti tra l’altro) un amico mi ha chiesto di pubblicare il suo problema nella speranza di risposte che potessero aiutarlo.
La sua situazione e il suo problema:
"Sono straniero con permesso di soggiorno ungherese, sono venuto in Germania per cercare lavoro e sono riuscito a ottenere un contratto. Ho contattato il mio "referente" all’ufficio immigrazione per spiegare la mia situazione, volevo sapere come avrei dovuto procedere dopo aver ottenuto il contratto di lavoro. Mi ha confermato che era possibile richiedere il permesso di soggiorno in Germania utilizzando il mio permesso ungherese.
Dopo aver mostrato la sua risposta via e-mail al mio datore di lavoro e all’Agentur für Arbeit per procedere con il resto dei documenti, ho contattato nuovamente il servizio. Questa volta, tuttavia, un’altra impiegata ha risposto che ciò non era possibile e non era legale, anche se le avevo menzionato la precedente lettera di conferma, lei ha negato che fosse legale e ha semplicemente detto che non posso ottenere il mio permesso di soggiorno tedesco in questo modo.
Cosa dovrei fare? Qualcuno ha avuto un’esperienza simile?"

What citizenship does your friend have?
Which Hungarian permit does he have? Does he have a long-term EU permit from Hungary?
It appears they are asking for the necessary documents for a residence permit for taking up employment. This is a regular process and the HU residence permit does not affect this. It is neither a hindrance nor an advantage.
The only resident permit that would be useful for your friend for the purpose would be the EU Long Term Residence Permit. This is an unlimited visa, and I. Germany requires at least five years residence, and is legally equivalent to a permanent settlement permit. I do not know the requirements for Hungary.
If your friend is nonEU (also not from privileged countries) and doesn’t have EU Permanent Residence in Hungary, then he must apply the working permit from German embassy in Hungary or his home country.
He needs to apply from the German embassy in Hungary assuming that he is a resident there.
That doesn’t seem logical at all , but yeah , welcome to Germany 🙂
