This is again a great initiative from finland, when the world changes, also democracies must be able to react.
Membership in.international agreements should always be up for debate when necessary – not seen as immutable truths.

Funny how all the people going on about treaties are suddenly cheering on withdrawing from this treaty as if it doesn’t automatically mean lots of worse actors will start withdrawing too and seeding anti-personnel landmines everywhere.
I think it works though in protecting territory, and is probably the least confrontational way to protect territorial integrity in this area.
