Tiktok changed from funny videos to non stop propaganda in the past year…
Coordinating comments via Telegram and rewarding engagement feels more like manipulation than genuine interaction.
So he took Russian bots and made them overt? Nice.
All social media operates like this. During the US elections there was a concerted effort on reddit for one candidate, organized off-site through similar means. I’m not sure what can be done about it other than educate the user base.

So it’s basically fraud too? I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being revealed that this is structured like a pyramid scheme with how so much of their communication points to conspiratorial thinking. Tapping into the gullible crowds I bet.
After this debacle I installed TikTok again to see what’s there. Whatever the russians started, it’s beyond their wildest expectations. People wanted to vote anti-system and they went for it when they had a presentable candidate in front of them. Channels and channels live, with hundreds of thousands of likes, spewing the same propaganda lines. People like me and you, intoxicated by the power of an audience. They are not going to stop or be persuaded to change opinions.
This shit happens when the established parties and politicians are disregarding and are being condescend towards their electorate. When people don’t have real options.
I voted anti system, for the opposition, for a sane candidate. But others went for this guy.
Moral of the story, you can ignore your electorate only for so long before it blows all in your face in unexpected ways. People complained about inflation and rising costs of living.The russians only had to give it a push, to coalescence the anger around one candidate.
