As someone who works as a healthcare assistant, this infuriated me. Truly disgusting behaviour

What a pair of wankers we really should just fuck them out, also it’s crazy that the elderly lady had 24k cash in the house. Poor people must have been devastated

For someone to be in a position where they can abuse and terrorise those they are supposed to be caring for is disgusting and shameful. Every one gets old, and it can be degrading enough without adding in health complications that make you reliant on others for help.

“Yamen Alhamada, 20, who came to Ireland from Syria to escape war, had an address at Warren Grove, Boyle, Co Roscommon pleaded to the same offences” of violent burglaries.

“Judge Keenan Johnson said the crimes were “nasty” and described the effects on the six elderly men and women, aged 73 to 89, as heartbreaking.

The judge said the crimes had destroyed the victim’s sense of security so much so that some of the victims can no longer live independently.”

This asylum seeker should be put on the first plane back to Syria. The state give him everything and pay for his university and how does he repay that? He wrecks the lives of Irish residents. What a joke

Hope they get deported after the sentence is up, you always come across some absolute freaks doing that job I had a girl come in coked off her face, one girl kept showing up locked, some African lass who thought I will leave catheter bags full of urine on the floor and open all the presses before I leave, also had this huge Irish woman she just had these horrible air about her like just creeped me out turned out she had been robbing from homes she was going to , I won’t even go into the stories the carers tell me about 🫠🤫🫠

I’m disgusted, from a funeral fund to a couple hundred, that was all these people had, and the absolute fear they must have felt.

I don’t agree with violence but I agree with karma and I hope she gets what is coming to her, the jail sentence being just a small part.

These are older vulnerable people, these are people who have worked, raised families, grandparents!! Who need CARE.

If someone did this to my granny? I don’t think I’ve ever felt the fury I would feel.

Immediate deportation after serving their sentences would be the ideal outcome, but I’m not so sure that will happen.

    8. We need hard labour camps. 18 hours a day cracking rocks and moving them from A to B, rain sleet or snow.

Only form of entertainment should be the Angelus played on a loop for the 6 hours they aren’t cracking rocks.

Every Sunday feed them with buckfast and yokes and put them in a pit to bate the shite out of each other, the last one standing gets the following week off.

I’m running in the election if anyone fancies throwing me their #1.

Fuck prison. The two of is these should be deported and all biometrics taken so they never get in again and I’m sure they could be flagged on an international watchlist.

Maybe you put them in jail and deport after so they actually serve time. But that’s it. I think it’s time actions were taken on this.

Pair of scumbags. Imagine that was your mother or father ?! I’ve access to a van.

8 years is not long enough. Should be 8 years per robbery.

    12. Wise_Adhesiveness746 on

Fuck them out of the country and give them a lifetime ban…..going around robbing old people living alone is lowest you can go

      Set an example

    13. “Judge Keenan Johnson told the victims’ families today that €35,000, which the court had ordered as a consequence of a recent Health and Safety sentencing in Mullingar, will be divided among the victims.”

      Good for that Judge!!!!

    14. Odd_Specialist_8687 on

She should be deported Denmark are sending people back to safe parts of Syria she does not deserve to be in our country after preying on the weak and vulnerable.

    15. jonnieggg on

This undermines elderly people’s confidence in care services.

    16. Available-Lemon9075 on

Ireland gives you refuge and this is how you repay, they should never have the privilege of residence in the country again

Violently robbing people in their eighties, disgusting

    17. real_name_unknown_ on

The 2 of them need to be deported as soon as they’ve served their sentence. Ireland being Ireland they will probably be given a new council house.

    18. CarelessEquivalent3 on

Imagine Ireland took them in, gave them a home, safety, the opportunity of work and education, to make something of themselves but they chose this instead. They’re incapable of ever contributing anything positive to our society, let them serve their sentences and then get them out.

    19. Legitimate-Leader-99 on

Dirtbags anyone convicted needs to be deported, Ireland is seen as a soft touch

    20. Important-Sea-7596 on

The court heard Mr Alhamada “pierced… (the victims) arms a number of times with what he believed to have been a needle concealed in his glove”.

*The final incident happened on 8 September when a man with dementia and his partner, in their 80s, had €10,000 violently stolen by the two defendants who broke into their home in the town. The teenager, disguised in a wig, mask and dress, grabbed the elderly woman by her throat and dragged her to the floor, resulting in a cut to the side of her ear as he shouted, “Where’s the money?”*

*Meanwhile, Ms Moyo put her hand over the man’s mouth, restricting his breathing, and directed the teenager to remove a wrist alarm from the woman.*

This is heart-breaking, it really is. Utter scum with zero humanity. I feel sick

    22. Dorcha1984 on

Infuriating, and they should be deported once the sentence is up .

    23. decoran_ on

“Gardaí accepted that cannabis addict Mr Alhamada was the “junior partner”.”

I love how they try to equate the whole thing to him being a “cannabis addict”. Did that really have any bearing on his crimes or was he just a scumbag from the start? I find the attitude in the media towards weed to be so bizarre

    24. How did she even get that job. I’m surprised rte are even reporting it.

      2 scumbags
