Romania is not banning TikTok (at least not yet). This is a request from a vice-president for ANCOM (telecommunications regulation body) and while the agency may support it, it still needs to go through other institutions and courts to get approved.

Romania will discuss banning the platform in a tomorrow seat. Further investigation is needed to provide additional evidence to back this (unlikely) decision.
At the moment, there is no official statement or commitment about banning TIkTok. We just have to wait and see, but in my humble opinion, it won’t be banned, at best restrictions could be put in place but with poor results.
Ban tiktok. Sanction China. The Great Decoupling has begun.
Do the same also with reddit, youtube, instagram, Facebook, Telegram, roblox, etc.
